Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers contribute extensively to the mission and work of QPH, while having the opportunity to develop valuable skills, explore new interests and meet new people!  After attending a 1 hour training session, volunteers can start getting involved in a variety of ways to match your interests and schedule.

Volunteer Opportunities include:

Pride Volunteers:  Throughout June, we will be participating in Pride events in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn. We'll need enthusiastic people to march in the parades and represent us at the festivals. Great for groups!

Fundraising Committee:  Contribute in a big way by spearheading event planing, grant writing and direct appeal for donations

Beautification Team: Help revamp our space by joing volunteers for painting and cleaning the center

Socialization Committee: Bring lighthearted fun to the members of QPH by organizing movie and game nights

Speakers Bureau:  Represent QPH at community events, health fairs and conduct direct outreach to promote our services and raise our visibility

Library Workers:  Catalogue and maintain our large collection of LGBTQ resources

IT Crew:  Tech savvy volunteers help by overseeing the computer lab, assisitng with networking and troubleshooting.
